Lucky Penny

A fun, fast graphic novel

The dynamic duo who pen and illustrate Johnny Wander have a fantastic graphic novel out called Lucky Penny. Okay, it's a couple of years old, but it was new to me when I devoured it yesterday morning. It's a hilarious adventure featuring unlucky Penny who loses her job and apartment all at once and has to live in a storage unit.

Lucky Penny had me laughing from the get-go, which shouldn't be a surprise since Noelle Stevenson herself said that Penny's "a human disaster after my own heart." Penny is never down long enough to be out, though, and even though the villains she comes up against are ludicrous, her adventures are no less important or moving.

Check out the book and let me know what you think! What are you reading right now? Share your reads in the chat below.
