Free Children's Bible Studies

As a homeschool mom who chooses to follow curriculum from a Christian perspective, I was very excited to discover Bible Study Planet. This website offers parents and children free Bible studies. You can use these Bible studies independently, or as a supplement with the Bible curriculum you are already using.

The first thing you need to do is choose a lesson from either the Old Testament or the New Testament. You can go in the order that they appear, or you can select the lesson that matches what you are already learning. You'll need access to a printer as these lessons can't be filled out online. If you don't have a printer, your local library should have one that you can use.
Each lesson has a week's worth of reading and activities. The reading is a passage of scripture, so your child will need a Bible for that part. The activities include word searches, crossword puzzles, mazes and multiple choice questions. There is also a coloring page with a verse to memorize underneath of it. I use that verse all week with my daughter, and then test her on it at the end of the week. I usually end up learning it myself.

Some of the lessons you can expect to see include the Tower of Babel, Abraham offers Isaac, Joseph reveals himself to his brothers, the Ten Commandments, Samson and Delilah, David is made king of Israel, Daniel in the lion's den, the birth of Jesus, Peter and John heal a lame man, Paul's ministry in Rome, and Jesus and the 144,000.

The website also offers free teen studies, as well as studies for adults.
